NIESA EMS Apparatus

Welcome to NIESA EMS's main page.

NIESA took over funding and running the ambulance service in January 1999. Before that, we were know as Williamston Fire Department. The EMS service gradually improved due to this new funding. NIESA eventually went from two volunteer responders (Basic Medical Care) to what you see today, a staffed ambulance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (Advanced Life Support). A second ambulance can be staffed by volunteers at either the Leroy Township Station or the Williamston Station if personnel are available.

For a brief history of the EMS service, see "You Call, We Haul" under The Williamston Fire Department History.
